It takes 12 years to recycle what the fast fashion industry creates in just 48 hours!
Often delays, fast sell outs and shortage of stock is not seen as a good thing by consumers but fast fashion has some serious implications in a lot of ways to the world and people.
10% of the worlds carbon emissions are from fast fashion as well as 20% of the worlds water pollution, it is the most labour dependant industry on earth with some of the lowest paid people in offshore countries, as low as $3 a day and a lot of unseen human rights abuse.
The list of implications in the fast fashion arena is enormous and not often considered when buying fashion. Sometimes awareness can go a long way to help our considerations.
KoKo Adora is much more then your local matching family fashion brand. Behind the scenes we do what we can to ensure our slow fashion is sustainable and that we are ethically and socially responsible, whilst also maintaining affordable designer prices.
It is also a large contribution to why KoKo Adora has stood out in the Australian fashion industry. We go above and beyond to stand by our values or do what is consciously right and in as many ways as possible.
We recognise all the DMs and requests asking for more stock and we will be stocking more new styles and in higher quantities this year to cater to our growing KoKo Adora family, please be patient though as we are a slow fashion brand and don’t comprise on our values to deliver more or fast fashion.
Stay tuned for some beautiful new matching styles coming your way and whilst we will increase stock levels please be mindful that they will still be available in limited quantities and often when you are buying our designs you are one of the very few wearing them because we are not a mass producer.
We have a lot of respect for other sustainable brands and even mention some in our latest blog post about the #nswschoolvouchers registered businesses suggestions.
Being aware and responsible goes a long way to make a positive difference for the future, the world and the people in it.
