KoKo Adora was one of the local designers that donated earlier in the year towards the May Barnardo’s Op shop which generated over 40K, we have been supporting Barnardo’s Australia since the beginning in 2018.
This week we donated over 300 pieces towards the October Op Shop for Barnardo’s and are wholeheartedly happy to help make a difference for children and families in need. It is because of your support that we are able to transpose that love and support to other families. Thank you!
Barnardo’s has provided services for vulnerable children, young people and their families in Australia since 1883.
As one of the nation’s leading child protection charities, Barnardo’s vision is that all children and young people will have caring families where they can grow safely and fulfil their potential, as they believe all children deserve a safe and stable home.
Barnardo’s provides a variety of integrated child-focused programs and services throughout there Children’s Family Centres which support families and keep children safe at home.
Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) provides a permanency focused continuum of care for children and young people who cannot live safely with their own families. This includes temporary foster care, kinship care, permanent long term care, and open adoption.
Barnardo’s has been an accredited Adoption Agency in NSW since 1986, specialising in open adoption from OOHC. In recent times Barnardo’s has provided approximately one third of all Australian adoptions for very young children in foster care.
Organisations like this give children and families hope.
