Not only is KoKo Adora a finalist in the 2022 Australian Local Business Awards for Outstanding Fashion (after winning last year), but owner Bernadette Habkouk is also a finalist for Business Person of the Year 2022 at the Australian Local Business Awards! These finalists are picked from all the businesses that are made finalists.
We are blown away and we are still very humbled and grateful to have won the 2021 award but to back that with being a finalist for Outstanding Fashion and to be recognised for business efforts behind the scenes that go beyond our brand, is so incredible.
We put our heart into KoKo Adora but also into our vision and purpose associated with disadvantaged children and families that go far beyond clothing.
The owner of KoKo Adora has also created an innovative and novel supply chain tech solution so keeps herself busy making a difference and positive impact where she can for other businesses as well. Born and raised in her own parents businesses, she sees so much joy in seeing other local businesses prosper.
She also spends a lot of time inspiring others in there own business journeys. She has also run boutique markets to help bring support from one small biz to other small businesses in struggling centres and has also won a global innovation award in the past. She has represented Sydney in the women’s leadership academy, as well as being a finalist in a global leadership award this year, labelled as “Future Leader”.
To her, business goes beyond all the hard work necessary, business is about a whole lot of heart. She strives to leave legacies that go beyond what is seen on the surface but by what is felt in the hearts of people.
Labelled as a powerhouse mama in interviews, Bernadette is a CPO to a tech company and the owner of KoKo Adora but will tell you that her greatest achievement in life is her pride as a wife and mother, as nothing is greater then the love of family to her.
KoKo Adora was never about just clothing to her, it was about seeing the love between a mother and child when they share a transposed unity, a moment of love and similarity that brought them joy and created memories that shared that everlasting joy.
We don’t always share the incredible things we are doing behind the scenes but to get this kind of recognition and encouragement is so inspiring.

Having such supportive and encouraging customers is so inspiring and motivates us to reach new heights.
When we received the phone call, it was noted that we amassed an incredible amount of community support and a very passionate request for Bernadette’s Business Person of the Year consideration. It simply made the entire team emotional, the kind of feedback we received.
We are looking forward to attending the award ceremony in a few weeks (September).
We have so much respect for other incredible Australian businesses and owners, particularly the amazing ones in our category. It is a privilege to be amongst those businesses and we wear this achievement with pride.
